Figma is a popular design prototyping tool.

As you know, paying for a premium subscription is difficult now, so we have collected several free (sometimes not) alternatives below.

Penpot

Pros:

  • Ability to install on your server.
  • SVG is the primary format.
  • Work through the browser.

The app is still in beta but has already established itself as an excellent alternative to Figma. It has all the same basic features, and even the workspace is very similar.

Pros:

  • You can do prototyping and testing.
  • You can try without registration.
  • New features are added frequently.
  • Installation on your server.

In this application, you can quickly sketch a design and get feedback from colleagues. Supports viewing the layout on various Android, iPhone, and desktop screens.

Pros:

  • There is support for drag-drop.
  • Import projects from Figma.

The first paid service in this collection, although with a free plan. Subscriptions start at $80 per month.

You should not be sad because of this because many of the features of Plasmic are available on the free plan. You can prototype web pages, do A/B tests, etc.

  • Free – and thanks for that.

This project is not developing very actively but still growing. To work with it, neither payment nor registration is required. There is an opportunity to work together.

The application is still at an early stage of development and is not recommended for use in production. But it is available on Linux. Basically, there is nothing more to say.
